Hang in There, You’re Not Alone! 💪

Hey everyone, how’s it going?
So, after working as a full stack web dev for the last 4 years, I got laid off about 10 months ago. Honestly, it’s been rough, and the job search isn’t looking too promising right now.

Yesterday, I applied for a bunch of customer service gigs and I’m planning to take one soon. I’m staying positive, controlling what I can, and really focusing on my health since, at the end of the day, that’s what matters the most. I’m just grateful there’s still work available, even if it’s not what I imagined myself doing.

Anyway, just wanted to check in with you all, see how you’re doing, and remind you that you’re not alone in this. Your job isn’t your identity, so just do what you can. We got this! :muscle:

Man, I feel you. Got laid off from my IT gig 6 months ago and the market has been brutal. I’m doing part-time warehouse work just to get by. It’s not glamorous, but hey, money is money. We gotta stay strong through this, better days are coming!

Took a job as a barista after getting laid off from a software company. It’s actually been kinda fun, and the flexibility gives me time to work on side projects. You never know, this could lead to something unexpected!

Applied to so many dev jobs myself lately and it’s like sending resumes into a black hole. Been thinking about switching fields too, but it’s scary. Respect to you for just doing what you gotta do. We’ll all make it eventually!

Good on you for being grateful, man. It’s hard to stay positive when things don’t go as planned, but that mindset will take you far. Jobs come and go, but your health and well-being stick with you for life.

I feel this deep in my soul. Got laid off 8 months ago, and I just landed a temp job as a delivery driver. It’s not what I want, but I keep telling myself, it’s a stepping stone. The right thing will come around eventually. Let’s just keep going!
