This essentially resembles a wireframe mockup.
To mix some genuine positivity into the replies: I love it and think it fits the site just fine.
So many borders.
SO. MANY. BORDERS.
Also, it’s interesting to see full-width fields for inputs that are only 5 characters wide.
Too many lines and corners. I see this and feel like I’m getting dyslexia with all the lines. But as a backend dev, this is what I would have created and think it looks great.

That’s the most brutal line in your review, haha. But I agree with everything you said.
Please feel free to share any feedback or suggestions on how to improve both the UI design and the emoticons it generates. The site is called EmoticonHub.

Change the borders for the fields to a softer grey.
Remove all other borders.
Soften the box shadow as well.
Make the button more filled in to differentiate it from the input fields (or go negative if you want to avoid color).
Get rid of the all-caps in the title.
Choose a better font.
Then you’re on the right track.

Are you allergic to colors?
This takes me back!
It looks like a wall of lines… so hard to focus my eyes.
Try replacing the outer borders with a very light shade.
‘Brutalism’ feels simple, but making a successful design in this style can actually be more difficult than standard web design.
The borders are too close together. Maybe remove them from the select items and fill the background instead.
Honestly, I think you should add more lines and borders.

Let the little guy breathe. <(x_x)>
Consider adding a smirk face next to the copy emoticon.
Way too many identical horizontal lines.
You’re the type of designer that AI is going to replace soon.
I like the concept of the website, but it looks like a worksheet: just black and white boxes. You should add some colors and more interesting shapes to make it visually appealing.
Nice low fidelity wireframe, can we see the actual design now?
