I’m contemplating pursuing a degree in web development and I’m curious about what to expect. Can anyone share their experience or insights into studying web development at a university or college? What are the benefits of getting a degree versus self-teaching? Any advice on choosing the right program or what employers look for?
Thanks in advance …
I was failing classes, which is the same as failing the SAT and getting kicked out of school. I saw an advertisement saying “build games” on Microsoft Dreamspark. I believed “I’m failing school I might as well learn to make games and make money” . I was really mistaken when I assumed that all I needed to do to start generating money on the game was just drag and drop.
I was at a loss for what to do when I opened the editor, but I fell in love with Bob Tabor’s C# tutorial.
I’ve been a web, mobile, and game developer for nine years
To pursue a career as a web developer, start by learning the skills necessary to create and maintain websites . Some web developers opt to earn a degree in computer science or a related field, while others may take courses to learn specific skills like programming or digital design.
Becoming a web developer requires a strong skill set in website creation and management. While a computer science degree is one path, many professionals acquire the necessary abilities through specialized training or independent study in programming and digital design.
