So yet another Chromium with baked in spyware. No thanks. We really don’t need “AI browsers”.

Absolutely. So sick of it.

Everyone pays OpenAI to have ChatGPT in their own page…
For fck sake, can we stop with the AI? I also used to watch Fireship for the content rich videos and the breadth of knowledge it provided on topics I’ve never touched upon but lately 9 out of his 10 videos are about AI models.
Jesus fcking christ this is overhyped. Will it ever fcking stop?

Same with T3. I get it that he’s an investor and stuff, but I’m sick of AI at this point.

Is that Theo? That dude was insufferable even before. I’ve blocked him and the PrimeAgen within 1 minute of watching their content at some point, using BlockTube.
Those dudes are demonstrating the Streamer brainrot on every single sentence they put out.
He appeared extremely human on the Laracon US recently but oh my god, the persona he puts on when he’s doing streams and videos is just utterly annoying, garbage and uneducational.
Theo is the same, just a bit worse.
@Tamsin
Theo is an asshole—that’s just a fact. See the video where DarkViperAU exposed him.
However, Prime, on the other hand, is just a goofy dude, honestly. Beyond all the theatrics and antics he does, if you actually look past that, he’s a very good role model for programmers. This is coming from someone who used to hate him because of his insufferable voice. Over time, I just got used to it and actually began to enjoy his content.
To provide more context to his content—nowadays, he pretty much just programs things for the heck of it, and it’s fun to watch. Try checking out the video where he coded Doom inside NeoVim and let his Twitch chat control the player’s actions. It’s really fun to watch and just something to marvel at—how he turned something so absurd on paper into reality.
Anyways, sorry for the rant—I just wanted to say that they are not the same insufferable person because Prime is actually a good one.
@Zeph
> Prime is actually a good one.
As I mentioned in my comment, I could see that, through the Laracon speech. Unfortunately, his “persona”/“Character” while on the channel is fcking insufferable.

I think it’s more like if you ignore his weird side, he’s actually a good one.
@Tamsin
Can’t agree more about Fireship. I skip his AI videos now and if this keeps up I’ll unsubscribe. On the other hand, there are researchers saying that AI isn’t capable of coding anything useful from unwork and then there are people who say our jobs are doomed. Just tired of the noise and want the world to move on.
@Spencer
AI at the moment is a glorified autocomplete for code.
If you give it much more than this, expect loads of issues.
@Tamsin
It’ll all stop one day, when the next overhyped technology arrives that people scramble to get VC cash over.

Guys. I have an idea. Guys, listen. Guys. What if we… Guys. What if. Guys listen. What if we do AI… Guys. Guys listen. What if we do AI, on the block chain.

I switched to Zen (a Firefox fork) and am loving it.

Ooh, I’m gonna have to try Zen. I’m a Firefox user but it doesn’t have vertical tabs and all of the vertical tab extensions suck.

You say that but we have a literal AI code editor and it’s apparently popular. People will eat up an AI browser.

So if prompters aren’t real devs, are they also not real web users?
Most of us aren’t. We just eat the slop the algorithms feed us.
